Helping People Make Safe, Responsible Choices About Firearms

When life changes, firearm safety matters.

Every day, Americans face important decisions about firearms. A loved one passes away, leaving guns behind. An aging parent can no longer safely manage a firearm. A family welcomes a new baby. Someone experiences a health crisis, moves into assisted living, or simply decides they no longer want a gun.

Whatever the circumstances, knowing what to do next isn't always easy.

That's where Disarmory Ministries comes in.

We help people safely store, secure, and scrap unwanted firearms. We offer practical guidance, trusted resources, and responsible solutions that protect individuals, families, and communities.

Why Our Work Matters

  • Life changes. Firearm safety needs change, too. Millions of firearms are inherited, gifted, or passed along to people who may be unfamiliar with their safe handling or storage. We help people navigate these transitions with confidence, compassion, and care.

  • Responsible gun ownership is something we can all support. We're not interested in debating the Second Amendment or judging gun owners. We believe every firearm should be intentionally owned, safely stored, and responsibly used. Many of our strongest supporters are gun owners who understand these responsibilities firsthand.

  • Preventing gun violence starts with practical action. Safe storage, responsible firearm transfers, and accessible disposal options can help prevent accidents, theft, suicide, and other tragedies. We don't have to wait for political agreement to take meaningful steps toward safer communities.

Building a Safer Future, Together

We're working with hospitals, law enforcement, senior living communities, and other trusted partners to make firearm safety resources easier to find and use.

Whether someone needs help securing a firearm, exploring safe storage options, or permanently disposing of an unwanted gun, we're here to help them take the next responsible step.

Our vision is simple: An America where every firearm is intentionally owned, safely stored, and responsibly used.

Because firearm safety isn't just a gun issue. It's a people issue. And everyone deserves to feel safe.
